Well yall the time has come for me to leave this beautifully place. It's definitely tough. I have come to love everyone here so dang much. Well to finish this off I wanted to leave my testimony with yall. Short and simple hopefully. I do know that God lives. He loves each one of us on such an uncomprehend able level. I know he sent his son Jesus Christ to redeem us and be our savior. I testify that Jesus lives as well. He is ever present in our lives today. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. Joseph smith is a prophet of God. Thomas s monsoon is the prophet today. He does lead and guide this church under the direction of our savior. He is called of God. The joy that comes from serving others can over power all sadness. I know that whenever there is a bad day that we don't need to focus on making the day better for us but if we focus on trying to make someone else day better as we serve them our day will automatically be turned around for the good. When we serve others we are only serving our God. The church is true. It is Christ church. His teaching are pure and true. Families are eternal and can be together for all of eternity. The gospel is to bless us as individuals and families. Prayer is real. God hears and answers prayers. Any questions can be answered through prayer. God is eager to help us all.

I love yall so dang much. Cannot wait to see everyone.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith! (2 Timothy 4:6-7)

I having many things to write unto, I would not write with paper and ink; but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.(2 John 1:12)

Well it has been a great week.
It's almost felt like we have been running around like chickens with
our heads cut off. We have had quite a bit of teaching appointments
all over the place and so it is really keeping us on our toes. We will
have one at one place and then have to get in the car drive 10 miles
and have another one. And then have to go back to the same area we
were in when we started. It's been hectic. Usually we plan a lot
better but this week with everyone's schedule, that is just how it
worked out and it has been hectic.

This week we went into the second stage of the iPads. It's broken into
three stages. The second stage is when we get to learn how to plan out
our days and weeks with it. It's when all of our records that we keep
become digital and they are all on the iPads. So we get the privilege
of going and putting all the old records into the system... I tell you
what I have never had the desire to never use technology again in my
life as I do after dealing with all of this.... Haha but we will git r
dun.

One day this week specifically we had a lot of appointments that just
fell through. They had to cancel and reschedule for one reason or
another. And we were getting kind of down, wondering why this was
happening, and then on the phone we got a text it was a referral from
Mormon.org. We decided that we were going to see if we could be the
fastest ones to respond to the request, so we went to the address they
gave and knocked on the door. Immediately the guy answered and before
we could explain who we were he invited us right in. We saw that we
were interrupting his dinner so we asked if we could come back in an
hour or so and he was way excited to have us come back. When we came
back we sat on his couch and had a very good discussion. I guess
missionaries had knocked on a friends door that he was at on the other
side of the state. He wanted to learn more and had a lot of questions.
We got talking with him and it was crazy to me how much he already
held to be true that was in harmony with what we taught. He already
had a very strong testimony of apostasy and the need for a
restoration. It was insane. Such a big miracle too on the day that we
needed it. We came to figure out that when we went to see him it was
pretty much the only time that he would've been home this whole week.
So if our appointments hadn't have rescheduled we probably never
would've been able to meet him. The lords way are bigger than ours,
that's for sure he knows so much better than us. Follow him and align
our will with his and we will always be on the paths that lead to the
happiness of eternal life.

We had the confirmation of Chris this week and it went great. He feels
100% now. His in it for the long run. I love that guy. He is always
cracking jokes and making us all laugh. That's a real talent let me
tell you.

Love you so dang much!

What a fantastic week serving the lord.
Chris got baptized! We were able to see Chris get baptized this week.
Such a great day! He was so happy and loving every second. He kept
telling me over and over again thank you so much I couldn't be
happier. I am so happy I am so happy. I was like Chris you should be
this is  a great day God has a smile bigger than yours. It was great.
He is so cool and so strong already. His testimony is growing by the
second and he is eating up every bit of knowledge he can get! We had a
few investigators come to his baptism too which was a huge plus. The
spirit is always felt at baptisms and it was defiantly there and they
all seemed to really enjoy! 👍👍

Well the two ladies that elder cleverly and I found while out tracting
last week, We went back to teach them and they were so excited to have
us come back. When we went to see them we had no clue what we were
going to teach so at first it was a little scattered then the spirit
took over 100%. We had the thought come to mind that thy need to know
where they come from and and who they are. So we taught them that they
are children of God, the greatest being ever! And then the thought
came they need to know why they are here so we taught them their
purpose on earth. Then the thought came they need to know where they
want to go after life, and eternal happiness is very much possible for
them. So we taught that they can one day live with that loving
Heavenly Father once again. Then the thought came how do they make it
to live with their Heavenly Father and that is when we began to lay
out the road map that God has given us to make it back to his
presence, we taught them them the gospel of Jesus Christ faith,
repentance, baptism, Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. And to watch
their eyes get so wide as everything just seemed to click in their
mind was amazing. You could see hope come to them, the hope that there
are good things to come as we follow the gospel of Jesus Christ
happiness is at our fingertips. The spirit was so strong! It pushed
them to want to come to church with us this week and it gave them the
desire to be baptized. They are aiming to be baptized on August 1st.
We went back later in the week and taught them the plan of salvation
and it hit home pretty hard. The spirit was so strong! We took the
relief society president with us and they just hit it off completely.
The plan of salvation was exactly what they needed it gave them so
much hope and peace because they have struggled with the loss of loved
ones and with the big 3 questions where they came from why they are
here and where they are going. It was such a good lesson they are
progressing so well!

Well two Saturday's ago elder cleverly and I went to see a member of
the church and as we walked up to his door this guy was out working on
his van and just said hello to us was very nice.  Then this very last
week we went back to see that same member and that same guy was
outside. This time he said hello but he stopped us and asked us who we
were and starting asking us questions. We ended up teaching him about
the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ through Joseph smith and
he was all about it. It was crazy though because the fist Saturday
when we met him he had just got in town maybe 30 minutes before we saw
him. He is originally from Iowa but is here doing a job. So it was
just the perfect time and place to meet him. And he is only here for
so long so we have ,et with him and taught him but he is going to
leave and he as expressed the desire to find the missionaries wherever
he may be at next and talk to them and go to church with them. Huge
mirCke the lord placing us in his path at the perfect time.  No
coincidences.

I am a chef now too. I made me and my companion pulled deer meat BBQ
sandwiches. I put deer meat and a bunch of BBQ sauce in a slow cooker
for 7 hours and when we came back it was so dang good. Therefore I
have become a chef these days. Learning to use a slow cooker best
thing ever!

How is everyone?

This week has been a struggle for the whole mission. As I am sure yall have heard there were two sisters that got in a car accident and one of them lost their life, and her companion is in the hospital in a coma for now with severe brain injuries. It has been really tough on everyone. It’s really sobering to know that anything can happen. Every day were out preaching the gospel and teaching people about the love of god and the hope of good things to come in this life and the life after. And with this incident it’s helped me realize that the things we teach and know to be true are no longer just words but we are actually able to live them and feel the power that they truly hold. The promises that our heavenly father have given are bound and he will stand by his promises. There is hope for all things. Jesus Christ made it all possible for ALL of us and because him death has no sting and eternal life is possible for us all.

Chris is progressing really well. We went over and taught him the plan of salvation this week and it was perfect for us all. He especially loved it. He told us that it just made sense to him and had answered all the confusions he has had in his life. He relates it to a puzzle that he has been trying to complete and he just found all the missing pieces.

There are more dirt roads then there are paved ones. And as we drive around it’s always a bumpy ride. This week we got the pleasure of taking our car through a river that went right through the road, so we gripped the wheel and went for it with the hopes and prayer that we wouldn’t get stuck. To our luck we made it out alive with no scares. On us or the car... ha-ha

I love yall so dang much! Have a fantastic week. I love letters yall! (;

YES SIR.

I was out on exchange this last week and here in jasper there are a lot of curvy dirt roads that go anywhere and everywhere and it can be very easy to get lost. This last week we had one of those such experiences. We were driving down this road and the GPS took us somewhere I had never been before and so I was just following it and then out of nowhere we drive out of the trees onto the jasper city airport. We were driving around at the end of the landing strip. Goodness I had no clue whether or not to turn around or just continue following the GPS. So like they say on duck dynasty "if you’re going to do something wrong its best to do it quickly" and so we followed the GPS as fast as we could and it luckily took us away from the airport without getting into a legal issues. Ha-ha

So I feel like every transfer you learn a specific lesson. Sometimes it can be more than one. But since the transfer is coming to end I was trying to think what was a major lesson I learned this last transfer and this last transfer I really focused on my scripture study. Every single moment I had to myself I tried to fill it with reading the scriptures or the conference talks I the ensign. And it has been life changing. And I am wanting to take that into my life so I can always have a good habit of scripture study not only now but forever!

just a little follow up from my goal last week, so I don't know the record of tracting hours but I heard some missionaries have tracted like 32 hours before and I don't think that is ever going to be possible for me here. Ha-ha so I was going to try for my personal best but sadly we didn't make it. We still tracted a bunch but had other things come up that we had to do and ended up running out of time. But holy cow. I truly believe that as the lord saw our willing hearts and as we worked although we may not have achieved that goal we were blessed in SO many different ways. We found 6 new investigators this week. And they are all really solid. To the point where a few of them have called us to confirm and make sure our appointments are still good to go. Also we had this lady in the branch bring her boyfriend to church on Sunday and he loved it so much that he invited us over yesterday to learn more. As we met with him the spirit was so strong and he was so ready and now he is on date and preparing to be baptized. Holy cow it amazes me how the lord can change hearts and work miracles right in front of your eyes. I sure do love the lord.

Great week the lord is real and he lives and is very much a part of this work!

I love yall so dang much!

From the land of far far away,

It’s been a great week. Not even going to lie it’s been a trial of faith. But last night as I was thinking about the week I was able to see how the lord provided miracles and really strengthened us, as he always does. we don't have to many people we are working with and so it’s been a lot of tracting, just trying to find anyone to teach but this last week after a long day of tracting we finally talked to this family who was actually willing to talk to talk to us. It was right before we stopped knocking doors too a BAM! There they are. We first talked to the husband and then his wife came out and we found out that they have 3 kids. They were so open and don't have a church but have felt pretty lost in the "religious world". so we taught them each that they were sons and daughters of god and he loves them so much and how because he loves us he has brought truth and restored truths about gods plan for each of us through a prophet of god. We were able to each them a brief introduction to the restoration and they ate it up to say the least. Ha-ha were going back to teach them tomorrow and I am so stoked.

My companion and I decided that this week we were going to set a record for the mission. Well at least try to. We are going to try and set the record for the most hours tracted in one week. I am a little scared to do it because I know that I am going to get sick of it real quick. But hey I think we could see some cool things come from it too. So I am telling someone so then I will be more accountable to do it. Ha-ha so hold me to my word.

This week we are having a huge meeting about getting iPad in this mission elder zwick of the seventy is coming to give us all training on it and then we are getting them on June 2nd. Too bad I won’t get one since I am pretty much a dead missionary, but it will be cool to get some training from a general authority and see how they are going to be used to hasten the work of salvation.

I love yall so dang much! Be safe and have a great week!

Always a great week! I love yall so much.

I got the privilege of speaking in sacrament meeting this last week. I think it’s interesting that I have had to speak twice on my mission and both times I have had to speak my topic has been repentance..... Is god speaking to me ... ha-ha?

It went really well though. I felt so good about it.

We had a zone conference this week as well. It was a great one too. We have been focusing on simplifying our teaching and intensifying our teaching as well. It was great to get ideas to learn to do just that.  By sharing a simple principle that we want to share then share a personal story which bring the spirit in so dang fast and then back it up with a scripture and then end with a testimony. And it is so simple but so powerful. It was cool to learn this and then as I was reading some conference talks I realized that most of the prophets fallow this format with all their talks. It was pretty sweet. I like it a lot.

We had this sweet miracle we mapped out all the former people that have ever been taught by the missionaries and we decided that we were going to go and see how they were doing and if they were interested at all yet. We decided that if they don't answer we would knock 3 to 5 doors around their house. And so we went to see the first one on our list and they didn't answer and so we knocked a few doors around their house. The second door that we knocked on was this nice lady named ann. she was so sweet to us. We were able to share the book of Mormon with her she had been struggling trying to find peace and happiness at her house due to some circumstances she has really been through so much. We shared the book of Mormon and gave our own witness of the peace and happiness that it has given us as we read it and she was so happy to take one.

We went back a few days later and she had read it and had felt the peace. She noticed the difference. The lord does keep his promises and he does provide happiness for all his children. He wants us all to be happy. I know that is true. The lord does love us and want the best for us.

"It will always be sweet happiness in the end, and if it’s not then it’s not the end."

I love yall so much.

This last week we tried this cool tracting method that elder Aubrey and I used to do every night. where we pray as a companionship and then say individual prayers and then we come together and one person will look at the map and name off 15 street names that stand out to them and the other person writes them down on a piece of paper. then from that list of 15 street names each of us make a list of 5 of those names that stand out to each of us and then we compare our lists and go and tract the ones that are the same. And in a sense it’s like getting a referral from god if you follow all the spiritual promptings you receive. So we did it and there was only on street name that was the same so we went and knocked on that street and two doors in we met this girl named Amy and she was so ready. We ended up teaching her the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and she loved it. She loved the thought of the book of Mormon being another testament of Jesus Christ she took one and agreed to read and pray. We are going back this week. The cool part though was while we were talking to her I got this insane confirmation that she was the reason we were supposed to tract that road. She was why were there. It was so cool to me. It was a clear and straightforward confirmation that I don't think I have felt before. It was extremely cool.

We are teaching this family now as well. The parents are members but the kids are not so this last week we went over and began teaching them. And it was a total blast. There are 5 kids there and they are all just full of energy. There are two twins that just turned 8 years old who love Teenage mutant ninja turtles and they love to reenact the fights from the movies while we are there. They do it just to show off. But it is so entertaining. We had a way powerful lesson with them on prayer and the kids were so nervous to pray because they said they didn't know how to. So we taught them that and one of the 8 year old twins said a prayer at the end of the lesson and it was so great. Really sincere and heartfelt. And he was so happy with himself.

We have to go down to Roswell for a meeting today and we are going to go to costa Vida!!! The only one in Georgia. Oh my goodness I am so excited. My mouth has been watering since I got up this morning. Ha-ha

I love yall so much.

holy cow it has been a crazy last few days. I am up I jasper now and I am loving it. its has been super stressful getting to know the area and remember the people. since we are both new it has been starting from ground zero and so we are doing all we can to get things up and running. so we are busy and stressed but we are having so much fun.
we have already met some pretty interesting people. haha I now am a living witness the word redneck.... haha I love it though.
elder cleverly and I have gotten lost only about ten times. our GPS has taken us and our Toyota corolla off roading at least once every single day. needless to say we wake up in the morning with a plan but we never know the adventure we are about to be taken on. I love it
it is so dang beautiful everywhere we go. we are literally in the north Georgia mountains. they are so beautiful and honestly I cant remember what mountains look like anymore so even though these may bee just big hills they are now mountains to me. its great. its like I am out camping every day ahahah.

This was a great week. We had the baptism of Chino Zapata and it went so freaking good. The spirit was so strong honestly you could cut it with a knife. He had so much support as well. There was so many people there that every seat was filled and there were people standing around and you couldn’t fit any more people in the room. The room was defiantly maxed out. It was great. Every person that came brought some sort of food too so after the baptism turned into a huge party pretty much. The Hispanics go big or go home no other option. And they defiantly chose to go big for this one. There was probably 50% nonmembers in attendance. It was so good. I decided that I get way too stressed out with big groups to ever become a caterer or someone who organizes big social events. Ha-ha too much for me to handle on a regular basis. Totally worth it though for this instance.

We had a cool experience out tracting this week. We have been blessed to have many miracles lately while tracting. First things first do you know where Burma is??

We were out tracting and knocked on this door and the only thing we said was “we are sharing a message about Jesus Christ" and this family who’s door we knocked on let us right in. they pulled the door open and almost pulled us in to their home. They then called all three of their children and then the whole family sat on the ground in front of us as we taught them the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They were so involved in the lesson and each of them sat and listened. We gave their family two books of Mormon and they were really excited to read it. But they didn’t just sit and watch us they would ask us questions and then they would bare their testimonies to us at certain points for example the Holy Ghost they knew that the lord speaks through his spirit and that they could know the truth of what we said through the spirit and prayer. It was a different experience for me but so great. Defiantly a miracle.

We got transfer calls today and I found out that I am getting transferred to a new area. My new area is much bigger and the most country you can get in this mission. I am going to be opening this new area. So I am way excited. It will be a fresh start from ground zero. I am getting transferred to the Ellijay branch it is the branch right above where I am serving right now. I have always wanted to get country and I got my wish I guess. It sure will be an adventure.my new address is:

Hey family.

Well after over 40 days of fasting from zaxbys I will be reunited with the wonderful place once again. Today I eat lunch at zaxbys and it will be amazing.

What a wonderful week. Specifically conference. It was such a great weekend to hear the prophets and apostles speak and teach us. I absolutely loved every second of it. It was so great. I feel completely spiritually fed. Some of my favorite speakers and talks would be Elder Hollands and President Uchtdorfs on Sunday morning session and I also loved Dale G Renlunds talk in the Saturday afternoon session. There were so many great ones, these are just a few that I really enjoyed. What are some of your favorite ones, ones that really spoke to you?

This week is going to be a great one. Little Chino is getting baptized on Saturday so we are doing all we can to get ready for that. It is so exciting. He has been waiting a long time for this day and now it is finally here. He is so excited for it. Every time we talk about it he gets the biggest smile on his face. He has so much support as well. There are a lot of family members that are not members of the church that are just as excited for him and his baptism. It will be a very great day!

I was on exchange this last week with and elder in my district. It was really. We had to go pick something up that took up a lot of our day and the way it was looking we were only going to get about an hour to tract and to find new people. So we said a prayer to find out where we needed to be at. we both felt good about this street so we went there and said a prayer when we got there as well asking for the lord to help us be led to the people that we were sent to find, we let him know we did not have a lot of time and we wanted to use the little bit of time the best we could. So we got out of the car walked up to this house on the corner. And this man answered the door and him and his wife let us right in. the first door we knocked on let us right in! It was the bates family. The bates have a 2 year old daughter and a 6 week old boy. They sat and we were able to teach them about the book of Mormon. They haven’t been raised in church but what we taught they said it seemed familiar and they could feel themselves being drawn to it. It was such a good experience. We did not have much time but we went after the lord’s guidance and he used us as instruments in his hands. Prayer is real. It is a two way conversation with our heavenly father. We can pray and speak to our heavenly father and he will communicate back to us. We are not alone and we need not ever think or believe we are. Take some time each day and have a conversation with your heavenly father who loves and cares about you so dearly. You will feel his love and know he is there.

I love yall so much have a great week. Remember who you are. Children of god with divine potential.

hey family.

I hope this makes sense because I have so much that I want to share with yall but since there is so much on my mind I doubt it will come out how I want it.

what a great week. we had the priviledge to have elder Zwick of the seventy some out and speak to the mission. I was able to hear him speak twice. once he spoke to the ward councils in the the stake I am serving in and he said some great things. he gave us all many different ways in which we can all work together to help bring others unto Christ. using the strengths of the missionaries and the strengeths of the ward councils to get the very best outcome. it was so so good. but my favorite was on Friday we had a zone conference and he came and spoke t just the missionaries. and wow I felt like he was up there talking to me directly. everything he said seemed to hit me right to the heart and I swear was said just for me personally. he shared some very inspirational stories that have never been shared before. some when he was working with president Hinckley, right after he lost his wife. he told us of how president Hinckley was really struggling with the loss and he was traveling through England were he served his mission and he decided that he needed to restart. so he went to the apartment that he lived in on his mission where he had a very inspiring moment as he read a letter from his dad. there he just sat and pondered. leder zwick said that he doesn't know what went on but when president Hinckley came out, he said "I am all better". and he told us that everyone at some point needs a restart, even the president of the church sometimes.  I didn't think that I needed a restart but the rest of the week I tried to imagine myself and do all I could to gain a revamp of missionary work and spirituality. and I have I done so I have gained so much more excitement and energy for all that I do. I didn't realize that I needed it but it has blessed me so much.

honestly elder zwick shared so many things. my mind was and still is running a hundred miles an hour trying to take everything in. I wish yall could have been there. one other thing his wife actually shared. is she talked about the individual in each person. they are who they are for a reason and each person is special. I loved that. then she talked about becoming purified and sanctified. and how if we work on the inside then the outside will follow. meaning as we purify ourselves spiriutually and sanctify our thoughts and intents then our  words, and actions will also become sanctified. starting from the inside and purifying the inside will do miracles in purifying the things that can be seen and noticed from the outside.

little chino Zapata is doing great. he is loving and progressing towards baptism. we were able to teach him the plan of salvation this week and it went great. we used little pictures and it was great because we would pull out a picture that showed a part of the plan of salvation andthen he would tell us all about it. in essence he taught us the plan of salvation. he is such a smart kid. he amazes me so dang much. he is such a great example to all of his family.

the sun was out and shingin bright and you can tell that summer is right around the corner. haha I am actually looking forward to the humid summer heat. even though I will probably deny saying that in a couple weeks when I am complaining about the humid heat. but we were able to break the bikes out this week which was so nice. its the best. if it was my choice I would be  on bike al the time. I love it.

here are some quotes from Elder Zwick

"don't worry, when you think you cant do it, heavenly father will help you do it."

"when you get close to jesus then jesus gets close to you!"

"I may not have a lot to give, but for my savior I will give my all."

I love you all so dang much. I pray for you. hope you have a blessed day.

What’s up everybody!?

This week we were truly blessed. But we are blessed every week.

Anyway this week we did a lot of tracting. As we were tracting we came across this lady miss Luper and at first she came out to talk to us and she was a little confrontational with us. But as we just talked to her and didn't argue back she started to get interested. So we told her about a prophet on the earth today and that's when she stepped out on her front porch and with great interest asked, "how do you know that he is a prophet?" what a great question to ask. We taught her about prayer and the Holy Ghost. And then her husband came home and usually that is when we get shut down but her husband came out on the porch and was such a nice guy. As we continued to answer her question we were able to teach her, her husband, and their son the entire restoration and they really wanted to know for themselves. They understood so well and wanted to know. They took a book of Mormon and we are going back tomorrow to teach them again.

While I was on exchange with one of the zone leaders my comp, Elder Jensen, and the other zone leader were able to find another family along the same lines who is so ready and prepared to hear the gospel. Things are picking up so quickly!

Little chino Zapata is preparing to get baptized as well. So we have been going through the lessons with him and helping him and his family plan the baptism for him. They are all so excited. His dad is a member but his mother and brother are not and it is cool to see how excited they are for him to get baptized as well. They have invited a lot of non-members to come to the baptism. He is such a cool kid with such strong faith. April 11th will be a great day when he is baptized.

Elder Jensen and I have decided that we are going to open up a harmonica band. We have some sheet music for the harmonica and they are primary hymns and so we are going to learn the primary hymns pretty good on the harmonica and then put on a concert at dinners with the members. Ha-ha I know what you are thinking," they are so cool", but hey we are just doing what we can.

This next week, Elder Zwick of the seventy is coming to the mission and we have like 3 days of long meeting with him. I am not looking forward to being inside that long. But I am way excited to hear what he is going to teach us. I am looking forward to things we are all going to learn.

Well I love you all. I love to hear from all as well. Let me know how things are going.

It was a great week this week.

Well right now the past few days it has been raining and it got way cold so everyone thought that it was going to snow so like half of the town of canton is shut down and it looks like a ghost town. It’s pretty crazy. Unfortunately because of that the library is closed and it forces 4 elders to email from this one computer so I am trying to hurry to give everyone a good amount of time to email their families.

This week has been pretty interesting. We had stake conference and it was absolutely amazing. The stake president in the Marietta east stake is a beast. When he speaks he makes you want to jump up and scream hallelujah. He gave a talk on how Christ is the high priest of good things to come. I absolutely loved it. I knew that what he was saying was true. No matter what we are going through. We can always turn to our savior who has literally walked in our shoes and he will give us the peace that we need and the assurance that there are good things to come our way. That is absolute truth. If you’re going through hell keep on going, there are good things to come.

We had this sweet experience we were following up with some people that had talked to missionaries like 6 months ago and when we got to their house they welcomed us in pretty easy. And we were able to teach them the first lesson and they took a book of Mormon and agreed to read. Also the son of the family agreed to be baptized. It was a way cool lesson out of nowhere. I don’t know if we even thought that they would answer or not. But they did and we were able to follow the spirit and help them out. It was great.

I love you all so much. Have a great week.

Hello everybody!

Well I love you all!!

This week was an interesting. Well to start out Elder Butler and I were riding our bikes out of our apartment complex to go tracting and I guess Elder Butler didn't want to go tracting because he crashed his bike into a parked car and it was a pretty gnarly wreck. So when he got up he was in a lot of pain. So we ended up spending the next few hours and come to find out after some X-Rays that Elder Butler, bless his heart, dislocated his shoulder and sprained his wrist. So needless to say Elder Butler cannot ride a bike anymore so we got to go down to the mission office and get a car as well. So we are driving around in a car these days. So now we see Elder Butlers real intentions he was just sick of riding the bike and wanted a car at all costs. Ha-ha even though he tells everyone that asks about his arm because he is in a sling. Anyway he tells everyone that I pushed him down the stairs. Ha-ha

We had this awesome experience with this older man this week. We were out tracting and this guy let us in. he is 91 years old and started telling us old war stories. It was extremely cool, his stories were amazing. Of course he brought up politics and how bad he sees the country is getting and then he started to cry and talk about his friends he watched die and it hit me it was a strong moment but then he said some things that I will never forget. He talked about how all the stories he had told us "all the amazing things that happened were because this country was founded on god and the only reason we won the war is because we had the Almighty on our side. When you have him on your side you will never lose a battle that's worth fighting." the whole time he is sobbing and you could tell how serious he was and how really true it is. The spirit was absolutely amazing in that moment. it reminded me of the story in the book of Mormon when they are fighting wars and they are righteous and have the lord with them they are able to win the battles even if they have less people. But when they don’t have the lord with them they don’t win even if they have the same amount of people as their enemies. Always have the lord on your side. Live in such a way that others can see his light shine through you.

I love you all so much. Really hope you each have a great week. Remember that god loves each of you and wants to hear from you! When there is nowhere else to go then go to your knees.

Hello everybody!

What a great week. Being a missionary is probably the best thing ever.

This week we got to do a lot of finding. We are really trying to increase our teaching pool and so we did a lil bit of tracting. We tracted for like 4 and half hours one day. That was...fun... ha-ha it really was though I was reminded of the scripture Mosiah 24:14-15 which has become my motto. It talks about how the lord makes the burdens on our backs feel light so even we can’t feel it. It was cool because no one answered for the first 4 hours Hahaha but its wasn't bad at all. And the last half hour right before we went to dinner everyone opened the doors and were so willing to talk to us. They were really interested. It was sweet to see how we were blessed to find people as we were diligent and patient and just did all we could and left the rest to the lord.

So there is this missionary out here who has a scholarship to go and play quarterback for Boise state. His kind of good by kind of I mean he’s really good. We played football last week though and I was quarter back for my team and he was the opposing quarter back and my team walked all over him. So pretty much I realized that I can play college football as a quarterback now. So that's the only game plan I just need to get a highlight real to send out to people. Ha-ha jk

We had some big dogs from salt lake come to our mission this week and so a bunch of us were able to go and be trained by them and I was a lucky one that did. It was sweet. They are changing a lot of things in our mission and them and president bennion have talked and are really pushing this mission to greater heights. There were a lot of great things they said I am so grateful for the chance to be a part of this mission and to be a missionary at this time and at all for that matter. It truly is a blessing and a privilege.

This week at church it was extra amazing for me as well. I loved it. The testimonies I heard felt like they were specifically for me. Almost like god was talking to me directly through the mouth of others. this lady got up and bore her testimony about how the devil makes us feel like crap when we make mistakes he makes us feel horrible about it and he makes us think that there is no hope. That we can’t change and become better. And then she said the Holy Ghost, when we make mistakes makes us feel bad as well. We are going to feel the guilt but she said that the Holy Ghost is different because he feels us with the hope of a better future and the knowledge that we can change and become better. It was so true. The devil tries to take away our hope and the spirit gives us the sure knowledge of hope for better things.

Another lady said “every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day" every single day there are tender mercies of the lord. We just need to look and be aware and then we will see many many more than we have before.

I also got to invited to help with a baby blessing and that was so freaking cool. That was the first time I had done that. And it was a great experience.

The church really is true. There is no way I could receive so much happiness that wasn't from god.

I love you all.

This week was so great.

So a few weeks ago we had a recent convert lady bring her fiancé to church with her. And she is new to the ward so we went up and talked to them and her fiancé is not a member but has been investigating the church for a very long time on his own, and he told us that he is ready to take a step forward. so we met with him this last week finally and we went to go and teach him but it was different because he actually ended up teaching us the restoration and so we invited him to be baptized and he said there is no time like the present. It was an experience like none other. Ha-ha

We went and taught this lesson to a family we are teaching and we brought this guy that just got home from his mission in SLC. It was a way powerful lesson. He showed me that I suck at teaching. Ha-ha he was a really good teacher. He knew what he was doing. Ha-ha I learned a lot. He set us up so perfect for the invitations that we wanted to extend to them. He would set us up and we would invite and they always said yes. It was such a cool experience. We rolled off of each other perfectly and the spirit was a clearly there and the investigators felt it as well. It was a break through. We have had trouble helping them out but this lesson was perfect and what they needed.

We had district meeting yesterday and there is a sister in our district who is done with her mission and goes home tomorrow actually so we had a funeral service for her as district meeting. Ha-ha it was hilarious. Everyone wore black and one of the elders gave a training on the plan of salvation and related it to the mission life and dying and going to the afterlife of the real world. Then the elders got together and sang god be with you tile we meet again and the song from remember the titans "nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey, hey, hey, Goodbye" it was fun. It was kind of mean but she was a good sport about it. And we all had a great time.

I love you all so much hope you have a wonderful week.

Well it is now settled I have an extreme addiction to zaxbys. I cannot stop eating there its so dang good and it calls my name whenever I am hungry. I have even began to dream about it. I think I need to talk to my bishop..... Ahhaaha

This week we had a super cool experience. We were out tracting yesterday in fact. We only had a short time before we had to be somewhere. So we prayed to tract this street the night before, and we showed up to tract it. There were only a few house at the beginning of the road and none of them answered. then it turned into a bunch of empty housing plots but we could see roof tops over the trees so we walked to the end of the road and there was this random few houses at the very end so we began knocking. The first house we knocked on this guy Chris came to the door. We told him we were missionaries sent here from god to share a message with him that would change his life. He was freaked out and began to tell us about how many trials he was going through. He asked us to come back on Wednesday and made sure we had his number and then he asked us what time and where our church was. And then he said that he will go to church with us next week. We were not expecting it and it was so great to witness such and amazing miracle. Chris kept saying this is weird that I am going through all of this and then you knock on my door it is so weird. Way cool for us though.

Watch this video and apply it in your own lives. It is amazing! What will you give? And how will you embark?

I love you all so much! Hope all is well.
